Philippians 4:10-13
I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:11
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.
Content = To be free from care because of satisfaction with what is already one's own. To be pleased.
Autarkēs (Greek Word for Content) was used of a country with everything it needed within its borders; therefore, nothing had to be imported.
Colossians 3:3-4
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
"The fortress that has a deep well in the yard and plenty of provisions within is the only one that can hold out."
Maclaren
Philippians 4:12
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
Learned = Experiential knowledge or heart knowledge. An understanding that comes through personal experience.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. ALL is referring to ALL things within the Will of God.
The heart's hunger in infinite, which is why it will ultimately be disappointed by anything merely finite. Humans are those strange creatures who can never be fully satisfied by anything created- though that never stops us from trying.
James Smith
Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
There is no greater satisfaction than knowing Christ and being known by Him. In Him, we find true fulfillment.

Ephesians 1:3
How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.
